I was mucking around the Sync site and it seems that if you have a Nav.system you can't use the Sync directions feature even if you wanted too. I find that odd even though it may seem redundant.
I wonder if you could use the News, Sports and Weather features they are promoting.

 

Nav is supposed to have all those features on it and display them on screen.

 

The Nav has voice turn by turn instructions plus the visual map. Works good the little I have used it.
In the Nav mode the sports scores will not be displayed if the car is moving unless you 'modifiy' it.

 

The Nav works thru its' own DVD and satellite connection ..the Sync direction feature works thru your connected cell phone...why would Ford not let you do that just because you have a Nav system?

 

the nav system is superior. it adjust to many conditions in real time where the sync version does not.
there is ZERO reason to use the sync services when the nav features are many times better.

so why burdon the sync direction servers and infastruture for people who have a superior system already on board?!??!?!?!?!?

 

It would be kind of like having window cranks in a car that has power windows.
