Sway bar end links

Just picked up the adjustable front sway bar end links. Instructions say make sure both sides of the cars front suspension have an equal load. Does it matter if the suspension is loaded or unloaded on both sides? I usually place jack stands under the body on both sides but if the suspension needs to be loaded would under the a arms work?

I actually just got the physical part in the mail. The instructions that came in the box from umi are more detailed than what the vendor emailed. UMI suggests using jack stands under the body to unload the suspension so I'll try that.
