Sway bar bushing bracket

I don't think you can . . . I think you have to slide it off the end, which is very difficult . . . which is why, when I replaced mine, I just slide it out of the way and left it on there; and purchased new ones with clam-shell design that could be installed in place of the old ones

Bert's got it, but I'm using a dremel and a cut off wheel to take those off. I ain't leavin' them for potential rattlin' and/or unprettiness and/or OCD because I'll know it's there, even if it's not doing anything but hanging around and adding weight, slowin' my quarter mile times and stuff.
Um...
Anyway, dremel those things off and replace them outright, I say. OR... you could just dremel the ears of the backing plates off, even just one side of them so the other side will still 'hinge' on the clamp, and then you'd be left with a simple cutting off of the old bushing, however you wanna do that, and then it's just replacement as you'd do.
If that helps. Or even if it doesn't, I'm still postin' it.
