The 4.6s days are numbered, but i think there will be overlap for at least a couple years.

I already have my 5.0 mod motor...tho mine makes more than 400hp

other than the rear I am definitely impressed. Hoping the rear looks better in person than it does in the pics. Loving the color options on the new interior!

I agree. If they are putting enough effort into the 4.6 to promote the factory supercharger like this I don't think it's going to be replaced next year. They have done well this engine. It has come a long way from the wheezing embarrassment that it was in 96-98. I could see the 4.6 sticking around until a full redesign in 2014 regardless of the 5.0 being introduced. Between the Mustang and the F150, they can support 3 V8s.

Imagine when the 2011 arrives with its stock 400 HP and adding a "super" package to that? Why would anyone bother with the GT500 at that point?
i've heard tell that the GT500 might get an aluminum block in '11, I wonder if they will make the TVS blower standard? 600 hp and a good amount of weight chopped off the nose would make it a viable car still.

Jeff Greenly on this board should be able to tell us what the 2 superchargers are going for on the current models.

I'm hearing 540. Dunno about the aluminum block, though.

You can also look online at fordperformanceparts.com. I looked a few months ago and IIRC, it was $5000 and $6000 respectively.
