So there i was cruising some back roads with a person in front of me and a brown blur in the road catches me by surprise leaving me no time to avoid it.

A fat, dead ground hog didn't clear my chin splitter and ripped the dang thing off. The car looks so.. just... i dunno not complete now. The issue is, at this point i cant seem to buy just the splitter. It was and RTR spoiler/splitter combo and im not paying 500$ again

I await to hear back from rtr to see if i can buy it from them directly.

Thankfully no other damage was done.

I hope for next time that it has learned its lesson not to die inconveniently placed so as to damage front splitters. Inconsiderate ground hog.

Welcome to the club,I feel your pain!!! I had almost the exact same thing happen. I am now missing the bottom part of my RTR front splitter as well.....$500 for a new one....ugh

 

At leased you have the road kill for dinner!

 

For what its worth you can buy just the splitter portion from them..they don't have any instock at the moment but 249$ is what they told me which i think is a bit steap for a piece of molded ABS plastic.

 

well my 13 shelby in countered a meeting with a little 4 legged rat while it was parked in my driveway sleeping minding its own business (the car that is) it chewed up the fire wall insulation blanket going to have to pull the motor to fix$$ I hope this makes u fill better lol I think am going to go watch caddy shack now

 

Wow, that piece is maybe a 1/4 of the total plastic in the splitter. 250 is a bit ridiculous. Does that even come with the support bars?

I think I'm just going to wait, suck it up and buy the whole thing at that price. The top part of mine took some damage as well, but isn't very noticeable.
