I already just bought my boss stb though. If it doesn't fit or I don't like it, I'll let you know. So just to confirm, yours is a 09 gt500 stb?

Not sure the year, but all the GT500 oem stb's are the same, 07-09.

LOL, I like the silver, looks good with the blue. If it were me, I would plastidip/paint the end cap pieces where it mounts and leave the bar itself silver, then maybe put some type of vinyl/emblem in the middle (Ford symbol or Ford Racing?!?). It looks good matching the color of your throttlebody. I ENVY your SC. Wish I could swing one, but paying 3K a month for student loans, a mortgage, and 2 car payments makes that not really feasible right now. Not to mention my wife would kill me as that money could go toward the pool she wants...

I like both looks. i think long term, the silver finish would probably stand up better to heat etc, than the plati dipped counter.

you can't go wrong either way

The clearance issue on the roush is on the air inlet tube. If you look at yours, it should have a flat place on it where the STB would lay across it for clearance.

Of course with the Roush, it will be in the way of seeing the "ROUSH" lettering if that's important to you.

Now, the GT500 STB would probably clear and not have any clearance issues. I just happen to have one sitting here collecting dust...

Thanks for the input! I'm surprised a few of you said silver too. I have it silver right now, partly because I'm too lazy to take it off and plastidip it lol. But I think the silver is growing on me.

I think the silver looks good. The black makes it less noticeable if that is the look you want.
