Storage problem

Hi all, New to this forum. Tried searching this topic without any luck.So any help will really be appreciated. The vehicle in question is my newly acquired 2013 MCA convertible. In your opinion is there any way that critters can get into the interior of that Mustang. It is being stored in a barn that I cannot, right now completely seal off. The doors are not finished on the barn. Have heard over the years , stories about critters getting into car interiors and doing a lot of damage Not to mention the fact that you might have a passenger that you didn't expect. The car is locked with windows shut. It also has a new Cover craft custom fit car cover on it.We, my wife and I are not originally from Arkansas but from what we have seen if it crawls or creeps they have it here.
If you would like to see the barn it is in, here is a link to it http://www.ninetyninesigns.com/

It doesn't matter if the barn is finished or not. Mice will get in and into your car if they want.
The most effective deterrent I have found, other than having a couple of cats around, is to put dryer sheets in the car; under the seats, in the glove box, in the trunk, under the hood. They are better than moth ***** and very effective. The only real damage would occur if the mice built a nest inside your car or started to chew on the wiring. The dryer sheets work, and your car will smell fresh in the spring when you take it out of storage.

Thanks I will try them.

Snakes are on your team! Snakes and barn cats, hawks and owls all are working to keep the mouse population to a minimum. Don't you be messin' with the snakes!

Snakes eat meat, not cars. If you've got an outdoor cat give it a new home in the barn, it'll do it's thing. Moth ***** are also fairly effective at keeping mice out (and killing them if they get into the moth *****).

I've heard about dryer sheets as well although I have no experience with them myself. Certainly no harm in trying. Also agree about mice finding their way inside. Many years ago I had a minor crack on my garage door at home. During one winter the mice not only entered my garage but built a nest in the heater core of a '96 Pontiac Formula I owned. I replaced the garage door after that and made sure the installer made it snug. No more problems. They don't need much to enter. Same with snakes. Almost the same scenario with my neighbor's garage, only this time the snake made a home in a bag of top soil in the garage. Scared the hell out of my neighbor when he opened the bag. How they get in there is amazing.

I did mothballs one time . . . it took half of a summer to get rid of the smell. I can't stand the smell of mothballs, dryer sheets are friendlier.
