STOCK Brembo Caliper Touch Up paint
As the title implies, does anyone know where I can get a bottle of that, if one indeed exists? Reason why I ask, I noticed a very very very slight scuff on the side, you can hardly see it.... but I just want a bottle on hand that I can dab certain scuffs or chips on the caliper. I know it's inevitable that it will get rock chips eventually, etc.... so just wanted one on hand.
And btw, what's the stock caliper finished in right now? Powder coated gray???? So maybe no touch up paint exists
Remember, I don't want to CHANGE the caliper paint... I just want the same color (that grayish color) in a paint bottle.
Thoughts? Ideas?

I still wonder why they went with this color for the brakes. I've thought about getting mine powercoated or painted glossy red or black, as I think that would look tons better than this weird grey/black.

Yeah, it is what it is I guess...I would have preferred Red or Black..... or even yellow. This gray is weird, but I'm getting used to it. Probably cheaper for them to make. So is it painted on there stock? or is it powdercoated???

I've had the front calipers off a few times and they are painted not powdercoated. I'm glad they are not bright and shiny. With the brake dust the stock pads throw off you'd be cleaning them every other week.

Hey, fun fact about Porsche, yellow calipers = composite brakes.

so ok.... here's what I did. I called them, but no help. I called Brembo corporate, they had no clue. They passed me on to their distributors, etc... they had no clue. So in other words, nada, nothing.
Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I went to my local hobby shop (model/kit cars), and bought me flat black, gray, and gun metal paint. I will mix them up myself, via trial error, paint on cardboard/etc, let dry, then compare to brembo calipers. I just want it close enough... then I can use small dabs to cover up chips, etc.... Most folks won't even notice ANYthing. I'm just nuts I guess

I don't think your nuts; I'm just supprised you got a run around with Brembo. Makes me think they are painted at sweat shops or overseas....someone has to know what paint to order when supplies get low!

EXACTLY! How hard is it to get a da-mn paint code??? Someone had to mix up the paint formula to paint the thousands upon thousands of brake calipers that went on OEM 5.0's since the 2011 model year. So I don't get it. Why is this info so hard to gather???? Folks I talk to had no clue where I could get that. I mean what do people who go to car shows do for this instance? Same thing I do? Just scrounge something up?

Good luck getting it to match even if you got a bottle of the original color. These calipers will start to discolor some when they get a bit of heat in them. I have even seen a set that has almost turned mustard yellow from all the heat they have seen.
#15
My concern with your solution is the paint you picked up won't hold to the heat the calipers will be subjected to. Let us know how it goes.

Oh I agree with both of you... I know it won't be a 100% match... there is no way. But, I just want something good enough to cover up exposed metal, that sticks out much more than touched up spots with paint that does/does not match. It will just be for chips/scratches that are less than a 1/4" .... you know what I mean? Put it this way, something touched up in there is better than doing nothing at all, and having exposed metal that sticks out like a sore thumb.

Personally, I'd much rather have the gloss black/white lettered GT500 brakes. Although they'd probably show dust a bit more, they'd look better behind the wheels IMO.
