Stiffest springs recommendation?
Stiffest springs recommendation?
I currently have Ford K springs, and have been happy with them for the most part. I've had them over 2 years.
However since I installed my magnuson charger under the hood, I've noticed the front end dip a tad. I didn't know the k springs were that soft, or that an sc setup was that heavy.
What do you guys recommend for a stiffer spring set? I was debating between the steeda competition springs (1" front, 1.25" rear), or some eibachs. What do y'all think? Ride quality is of importance too, but not as big. For the meantime, I think I'll add some spring stiffeners/isolators/spacers to raise that front end a tad. I might have to get re aligned then too?

Take my word on this one. Call Van Collier at Revan Racing. He is the best when it comes to knowing the suspension on our cars.
He will give the pros/cons and not pressure you at all.
Tell him that Tag referred you.
He has the BEST customer service. Oh and he is also a licensed instructor and owns his own GT500.
The phone number is listed on his website. It is his cell number. If you call today he will either answer or call you back even on a Sunday.

Jay, but I heard the HnR are farrrrr too low. With my current tire/wheel setup, the spring stiffness and shock setup is key. Do you sell steeda stuff, jay?

Thanks for info TJ. So am I right in deducing that the steeda comp springs for boss/gt are the stiffest and thus would have the "least" give? So during normal driving, bumps, potholes, and even hard acceleration, those springs would compress the LEAST? And how much approximate drop is that front and rear?
Note tha Sam Strano's site says go with the Ultralite Steeda for the GT500. Maybe the way for you to go since you are adding weight to the front like the GT500? Maybe the Ultralites are linear rate and behave stiffer than the Competition or Boss Steeda springs?
I ran the H&R Race Springs for a month. The drop was roughly 2 inches and the handling was amazing, with Tokico D-Specs dialed in to 2 turns out it was very stiff. Sadly the roads in the MA area left much to be desired, it was too low and now they sit in the shed. For road racing they were phenomenal.
