"The modifications to the Mustangs included improved safety features, improved braking systems, and increased gas mileage, with the cars getting an average of 35 miles per gallon, according to Valdosta City Manager Larry Hanson."

Either that's a typo or someone is really full of it. The car in the picture is a GT. What kind of magic could Steeda have worked to get 35 mpg out of these cars? I have to say, though, that is just about the prettiest police car I've ever seen.

Steeda, the foremost manufacturer of after market products for Ford Mustangs, recently relocated to Valdosta and performed the upgrades to showcase one of the company’s newest concentrations, which is working with police departments.
Oh?

The modifications to the Mustangs included improved safety features, improved braking systems, and increased gas mileage, with the cars getting an average of 35 miles per gallon, according to Valdosta City Manager Larry Hanson.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhh....

Maybe they're hybrids: Sometimes they use the gas and other times they just coast? Nah, probably not.

Brings back memories of when Michigan state police had 5.0 notchbacks as highway patrol cars.

Happen to see one in action today. Very Nice. The graphics turned out nice.

I'll try to get more pics of inside soon.

I also think that the line about gas mileage were for the voters .

I'd say update the old 5.0 Notch back's and re-instate them! I don't know why I like them but I do. When I was a kid I would always see them around in TX.

Right. I noticed that (had a '10 myself until a few weeks ago). Still looks better than the old 5.0 Cop cars (Fox body).

First, I'm not a cop! I do have many friends who are cops. I've trained police for several years. I have been on several ride alongs. You have no idea what law enforcement officers go through nearly every night for the safety of others.

Last year a local officer got his leg blown off stopping a gun toting gangster. He now wears a prosthetic leg and is back on the street because in his mind he's doing some good. He could have gotten a 100% medical retirement, which due to tax advantages would have made him much more secure, but again the good he can do outweighs this financial gain.

As final note, one of my best friends is local pd. Recently it was discovered through the bust of a mid level drug dealer that a white supremacist group had a hit planned a hit on my friend, his wife and 3 kids (twins about 15 months and a 4 year old). The reason they wanted to kill my buddy and his family. They knew where he lived.

Seems one of them had driven by his house when he was leaving in the morning and had seen him kissing his wife and kids goodbye in the doorway. They had been wanting to kill a cop and he AND HIS FAMILY were available. They had staked out the house for a few weeks learning his schedule. Go time was just days away when they busted the dealer and found out about the plan.

Funny thing, my buddy would have gladly gone into any unimaginable danger if this dirt bag or his family were in danger. He would absolutely have taken a bullet to protect them.

We have all met traffic officers with an attitude, but I think the way more often than not the attitude of the driver decides the outcome and tone of most traffic stops. It's easy to hate cops. It's a **** to live without them.

Stupid stupid statement. If you're over 14 years old, you should be ashamed of your myopic, childish, mentally deficient statement. But, I'll assume that you won't be.
