Std. Factory Warranty ...

Just was looking at my window sticker and I see ...

3yr/36k B-to-B
5yr/60k Powertrain
5yr/60k Roadside Assist

My 2004 and everything Ford prior was just the 3yr/36k B-to-B ... when did Ford add the 5yr/60k programs to the Mustang ??

Is this all new Fords ??

Thought you guys would like to see a post not pertaining to ... where's my car ??

Thanks,

Doug

They did it very late in 2006 for the 2007 models. They did however grandfather in the 2006's that were still on the ground. I forget what the date was but I think it was around July or August of 2006.

My '06 Focus had it (bought in March '06). I think Focus was one of the first models to get it. This is why SMART dealers passed on the warranty savings to their customers. Most dealers just left the markup in the factory warranty even though you were actually getting less coverage. It's also why you can now get one for under a grand for a 6 yr/100k warranty with a $100 deductible.

The day was July 14 2006 for all 2007 models. Any sold 2006 vehicles got 5/60K powertrain ESPs as it was against the law to add a warranty to cars that were already produced and sitting on dealer lots.
