Sound Pipe Removal

Anyone removed their sound pipe yet from the intake that runs into the cabin? I have done this on previous cars and loved the more "natural" sound, just not sure what it would sound like on a V8.

If you have, any specific parts you used to plug the holes? I have not found any kits available yet.

Thanks!

Going to give it a try. At the very least it cleans up the engine bay some.

That's why I removed mine. It makes it easier to get to the dipstick, too.

Did you notice any sound difference inside the cab?

Cool. Ordered it last night from cooltech. Can't go wrong for $12. Would spend more in time/gas picking up the parts myself for the kit.

If it makes as much of a difference as removing the hockey puck noise maker from my VW, i'll be thrilled. (yes, they mounted a vibrating speaker thingy to the firewall/windscreen to make engine noises...)

I agree completely. In the "sound tube delete parts" thread people were saying its cheaper locally and a waste of money at cooltech. But I would have had to go to 2 stores and pretty much knew Lowes/HD wouldn't have that part with my luck. Yeah I would've save like $4. Not worth it when u calculate driving around and time.
