2011 GT premium, 3:73s, Brembo.
$33,427 plus $95 doc fee.
I've got it figured at invoice plus shipping and the ad fees.
If there is confirmation from you guys, pulling the proverbial trigger.

hmmm . . . talking about "dealer cost" gets very confusing, the "invoice" number is not the actual dealer cost, I think you both mean "invoice" ?
according to the price sheets posted by Jeff, "Dealer invoice with holdback" (aka "invoice")
GT coupe premium -- 30,265
3.73 axle -- 344
Brembos -- 1475
Destination / delivery -- 850
total = 32,934 + 95 = 33,029
sounds like the difference is the "ad fee", not sure what that is . . . but 33,427 sounds like a real good number to me, basically about $500 over invoice which is about as good as I think most people are going to do . . . I have heard people talking "$300 under invoice" but haven't seen the actual numbers so don't know exactly what that really means

Actually, she said.........'Get what you want.'
But I had shown her the Smoking Tire vid w/ the Race Red one and she said, 'That's cute.' Ha Ha Cute.
OK.............cute it is.

That is an interesting problem. New 11 or used GT500. Stonger engine, stronger trans, car is good to go for 800rwhp for just $5k.
I couldn't go back to the 05 interior though. It's total crap compared to 10+.

The latest.
I'm trading in a 2003 GT 'vert. He says, "We'll have to reevaluate this car when your new one gets here, it could be worth less in two months."
I say, "You can have it now."
He e-mails back and says they'll give me an extra $500 if I bring it in by Monday. Done deal!
My son is in Afghanistan for a couple of months and his Jeep is just sitting. Works out.

Sure they will, you can also try selling your car to Carmax. I'd first try listing the car for sale on this forum or Autotrader...you'll probably end up better off.
I had it up on autotrader but all I got were people wanting joy rides and a few calls that never showed up. I wen't to carmax when I had all my mods on ( headers, x pipe, exhaust, cai, pioneer nav system ) and they gave me 15k because of it. Maybe i'll go back and try carmax again since its all stock now. Only 25k miles on it at the moment so not sure how much it'll decrease in price if i wait for the new car to come in, I don't drive it too much lately.
When I say Dealer Cost, I mean Dealer Invoice + Holdback.
The formula that Bert posted is wrong. Leaves off FDAF and Fuel, and that's just what comes to mind.
The reason I call Dealer Invoice + Holdback Dealer Cost is because it passes through additional "cost" to the customer. The overhead costs for the dealership, etc. So if you were to do an accounting for a dealership, you'd have those overhead costs, split among the typical volume for the dealer, and you'd then have an average cost that should be added to the actual price of the car to the dealer, for "Dealer Cost."
Sure you can argue that the dealer shouldn't pass those costs along to you because your car is an order that doesn't count against their typical allotment, and it doesn't sit in their lot; it's an immediate sale. But as an accountant, I can appreciate the "wiggle room" this approach affords them
Trust me, I'm an excel nerd, and I made a spreadsheet-type "configurator" for the '11 mustang. Came out with the same exact price as the OP was quoted, minus the document fee.

And I'm getting an additional $500 over book on the trade-in value.
They're happy. I'm happy.
It may be possible to do better, but this was pretty easy. I didn't even leave the house. My daughter was out in the car and I had her stop by for the appraisal. No running around for me. All on the keyboard, didn't even get on the phone. Thanks Bill Clinton and Al Gore. I didn't understand what they meant when they said they were going to ask for legislation to make the 'information superhighway' accessible to all, but I'm starting to get it now.
