Exclamation Something for the parts guys to look up

So at the ford dealer today to get some work done I noticed a 2012 V6 pony edition mustang in the showroom. I went to look at it and noticed the headrests where different, not the sharp angle of the GT but more rounded. Further investigation reveals they are adjustable headrests ! It has a ratchet mechanism that goes from darn near vertical to the normal angle of the 2011 car. I talked to the parts lady but she could not find any info on them by pulling up the VIN number. Any chance someone can do some research and find out if they are available and what color and leather grain they come in? If necessary I can swing by tomorrow to get some pics. She did say it was a late model 2012 so I wonder if it is a 2013 option?

A month ago, I test drove a 2012 GT Premium (that I think had been sitting on the lot for a month at that time) and it also had the head rests that were adjustable. You just pull them towards you and let go and they pop back to normal vertical position. Don't think it's a 2013 specific option, this was before the 2013 was announced.

Chances are, it was the MRT tilting set. Did you notice if there was any dealer installed accessories sticker near the window sticker with add-ons?

Here's a link for you. $250 for a set:

Actually, there was a change at Job 2 for 2012 Mustangs to make adjustable headrests standard. This is true for several Fords, not just Mustangs. Too many customers (me included) complained to Ford about the non-adjustable headrests. Nice to see that they listen sometimes.

From the 2012 Mustang Order Guide dated 11/01/11...

INTERIOR CHANGES

Seats now have 4-way adjustable head restraint (except RECARO®).
Sun Visors with Multi purpose Storage System & Illuminated Vanity Mirrors (Standard).
Universal Garage Door Opener on Premium Arrays.
Stone interior: Door-trim, headliner, sill plates, package tray and Apillars are changing from stone to charcoal – Seats and door-trim insert will remain stone (Glass roof now available with Stone interior)

This is wonderful! It removes one main complain from my wife about the new stang.

Thanks a lot, Brian!

So the question(s) remains... Will it fit the '11's? What is the part #? How much?
