So your 2011 is to noisy?

Well in my what looks to be 6 month process of deciding what to do as a rear seat delete I went another step this weekend. LOL after everything I might drop 10lbs . My buddy is trying to talk me into fiberglassing something like is behind the seats in his 300z twin turbo to really make it look more like a two seater.

O and just kidding about the noisy part. This car is a ton less noisy than my 08.

ETA: Forgive the piece parts. it was just easier to work with in smaller pieces.

To each his own. Ive worked with Dynamat a few times and know it makes a big difference in noise and accoustical value.

I thought about one of those kits but prefer doing it myself and have got friendly advise to stay away from the super flimsy kits.

Dynamat isn't a noise blocker. It's a vibration dampener, to cut out buzzing and vibration. Not noise. Yet, when you (unnecessarily) layer it on top of itself over and over, yeah of course it's going to cut out sound. But you will add back much of the weight you are saving by taking the seats out, and waste $. What you should have done was lay down a single sheet over the flat areas (curved metal isn't going to resonate) then covered it with a foam based mat. You would have a) blocked out more road noise, b) saved $, and c) saved weight. But I'm sure no one ever told you any better than the old school of thought "cover everything and double/triple layer it".

Lol, as have I. Obviously you don't. I'm trying to teach you here. Stop being stubborn and learn something.

This I agree with. I bought an MMR kit for my car to use as a template. They are flimsy and WAY overpriced.
