So Who's Waiting?
That is a valid question.
To me the 2010 is a failure because it does not have a new motor to go with the new styling, that and the car has an *** that is ugly as hell.
But if the new 5.0 comes out without direct injection from the start then it is a failure as well.
This is 2009, there is no reason that a new engine should be anything other then DI; it is better for fuel economy and pollution.
And before any of you chime in and say “I didn’t buy a mustang to be concerned with fuel economy”, that is a load of crap.
There is no reason why a modern muscle can’t be as economical and pollution friendly as possible.

100% Waiting till 2011
100% waiting !! I want the 5.0 !! That's what mustang is all about!!!
I think Ford should of went with the 5.0 right away. They need all the sales they can get with this economy. I think they will be dissapointed with new mustang sales this year JMO
06 mustang will be paid off also!!!

A failure would be it not suceeding.
That is yet to be determined.
You just don't like it for your own reasons.

i love all mustangs, and i have never ever considered any of them to be failures.
no matter however it looks or performs i will always love this car. Never will be a failure In my opinion

If the car is a total failure you won't see it anymore.
It is true I do not like the car for many reason, but I also like it for many reasons.
IMO the car is a flop for not having the new engines in the design refresh, it just does not make any sense at all.
I also consider myself a fan of all Mustangs, but when it comes to the Mustang II, the only thing I like about it is the fact that it kept the Mustang name alive and kicking for those rough years. I can only be thankful that 1974 wasn't the end of the Mustang, even if it was less than desireable that year. From 1979 to 2009, I can honestly say that there wasn't a Mustang that I didn't like. Sadly, I can't say that anymore once the 2009 model year is finished.
I just priced a 2010 gt premium out with my options and wow is it a big price tag for this car. $38,115 plus tax and what ever other garbage they add in, i will be in the 40k range. Wonder what the price tag would be if i wait for the 5.0 plus whatever features will be offered then.
