10-4 Patrick, ill be a little less lazy next time when discussing the specs and sizes.

And Gabe, i gotcha and see what youre saying. Im not sure why your wife doesnt like the size though? Like i say i have 20x9 all around and im really happy with both the appearance and the cornering capability. The invos to me look really good in photos, but i recently saw them on a mustang in real life and hate to say it but they look awful. I much prefer the nt 05s or the nt555s

Yeah we hate the Invos. If the car sits more than a day they're rock-hard and flat-spotted.
They do handle pretty good, but the traction is lacking. Then again, she was trying to put more than 600 rwtq to the ground on 285mm-wide Invos ... wasn't working very well. We're glad those tires are gone at least. She's much happier with the 305/35/20 555R's back there now

They're stretched a bit, so the wheel is the widest part (sucks when getting close to a curb), and there's very little sidewall, plus a 255 isn't really that wide if you want that 4,000-lb car to turn properly.

So no, personally I'm not a fan of 255/35/any-rim-size, I think they're short and with a small amount of sidewall, which tends to lead to harsh ride characteristics and a lower-riding car than you might want, or a big fender gap.

I have 275/35/20's on the front of my car (currently these wheels are for sale), and I think they provide much better cornering, ride quality, and a beefier sidewall:

But anyway, we've gone off on a tangent ... the OP has 19's and he asked about 19" tire sizes, not 20's.

Honestly, these are the sizes I'd probably run on 19x9 and 19x10 rims:
front: 275/40/19 ... 27.66" tall
rear: 305/35/19 ... 24.40" tall

whaaaaaat selling the milans?!?!?!?!

Yeah I want something lighter on the car, the dark-tint Milans are too dark ...

I'm now running a 285/35 (19/10)square and I'm 3 mph off(slower) when I compare it to my Garmin. I have not tried to time it and do the math.

When I had my stock wheels (19/8.5) I ran a 255/40 and they did not look bulging. Many tire mfg have a 265 you could run up front.

I have the Bridgestone S04 Pole position, and I like them. Run them all spring and summer.

I do :D

Right now I have the MPSS 255/40/19 on the front 285/35/19 on the rear. They ride excellent and have some pretty darn good grip and excellent manors in the rain. Around 55 degrees they have no straight line grip at around 560 to the wheels. When it was warm out, they had some pretty good grip.

If you want to wait until March Michelin is releasing the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S wheel which is supposed to be the evolution of the MPSS.

Guys,
Thanks for all the great advice and input. Especially, about calculating sizes. I have a few months now to shop for some summer rubber but with a better perspective.

Ironically, I did get some new rubber for car. I decided to turn my stock GTCS rims into a dedicated winter set. Picked up some Yokohama X-drives to tackle the Indy snow...

More to come...

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/themust...60856bb1ce.jpgHere are my 275/40 on 19x10 square BossS wheels. If mine were staggered 9f/10r, I would consider 265/40f and 295/35r.

I was able to slap these bad boys on yesterday. I went with the BF Goodrich Comp 2 A/S.
It was a short and brisk drive home (and with a new tune added) these tires did not dissapoint!

some before and after pics.

Looks great! What size tires did you get? Oh, and how were you able to stand waiting six months to get them installed? I went a week after I got my wheels and almost lost my mind.

So how are they for road noise?

Getportfolio 4/16/17 09:37 AM

I went with 255/40/10 front and some meaty 275/40s in the rear. They are wonderful no noise sticky tires!

and yes it was a long wait! Now I just need to get the roush splitters on the car now.👍
