Beating on the car is not the issue unless you're clueless on a standard, in of which youve clarified, the problem is more likely THIS. Known issue so I would change the clutch line to the JHR line and be done with it. If this MUSTANG can't take a beating right out the gate................FORD has a problem...

It's a 400+hp Mustang, not a Fiesta. Break it in how you want it to drive. If you want it to drive like a grannymobile, break it in like one. If you want it to drive like a racecar, break it in that way. The better you seat those rings, the better performance you will get from your engine.

The stock oil started as a 75/90 weight but a TSB was put out due to hard shifting issues so they went to a 75 weight fluid. The Red Line MTL is a 75/80 and the other positive fluid was the Amsoil MTG which is a 75/90 I think. The Royal Purple has had some negative reviews in the community and they don't even recommend their own fluid for the MT82.

My '11 GT/CS is stock....shifts like a dream. I do not track or drag race but....I have been known to test the high speed shifting about every time I drive it. (wife has learned to feel the difference in 110 vs 115 while reading lol) I have 14,500 miles with no issues at all. It took a bit for me to learn how this car shifted compared to older cars. I found myself missing/not getting in gear on several occasions when shifting fast/hard. Finally let up on my grip on the shifter and things really changed. I say give it time and it very well may be just fine.

Everyone has there own thoughts so look at them all and decide....just don't be sucked into the thought that anything to do with the tranny is crap.....
