I came across someone saying the Roush splitters will not fit the 2011 because of the wheel flaps. Any body have a problem like this?

 

If it's true, just wait it out...pretty sure they have the splitters on their '11 cars also; not that they do anything.

that's what I was thinking too!! What the heck is a side splitter and wheel flap? You talking about the side scoops?

 

LOL. Some call them "mud flaps". The splitter would actually help keep some road kick up from the side of your vehicle. I think they were originally made for race cars to help with the air flow around the car.

our 2011 Roush came in with the lower trim piece(splitter)

 

This is the piece. It says for 2010-11. I don't know if they are wind tunnel tested and verifiably improve aerodynamics or if it's simply cosmetic. Probably the latter.

I see the Roush cars have them but I wonder if they removed something else to get them on. I like the look but more geared toward the possible help they would give with kick up from the tires.
