Should I remove aftermarket mufflers before service?

I'm having issues with my 2012 GT and need to bring it for service. I was wondering if anybody ever got any flack from the dealer for just having axle back exhaust. I have the FRPP GT500 mufflers on mine and would rather not have to swap on the originals if I can avoid it. I don't want to give the dealer any reason to try to deny my warranty, though.

Nope shouldn't be an issue at all, especially considering its a ford part number and mufflers only, maybe if you had headers an x pipe .., you should have nothing to worry about

Even Ford sells performance axle backs. Leave them on. No worries.

As long as the mufflers are not the cause of the issue you were having, the dealership has no reason to deny you warranty work.

They probably won't even notice. I wouldn't worry about it either.

Like this guys said, you'll be fine with any axle-back installed. Especially since you have GT500 mufflers, there's no reason to worry. Also, while you're at the Dealer, talk to the Service Manager about modding your Mustang. He'll/She'll be able to tell you exactly what's his/her Dealership's tolerance with modifications. We've found that some dealership even allow custom Bama tunes!

Good luck at the Dealer, hopefully they get your car back quickly with the issue resolved!
