Short Throw shifter

Short Throw shifter
Wondering what aftermarket shifters people are using and if they would recommend. Also I see some with a bracket and some without. Why do some use the bracket and some don't. Maybe a dumb question.

I've never had a part from Steeda that wasn't absolutely FIRST RATE. That said, in this case I went with Barton for shorter throws. I also have the Barton Bracket. Great combination. Hard to go wrong with any of the tried and true units.

Thank You for the kind words guys and gals.
As they know the Steeda Tri Ax is a very effective shifter. It is all a matter of personal preference when it comes to the feel of their shifter. Most people that have had a Barton or MGW will recommend them over another brand because they have not had the experience with another shifter.
Our Shifter is at a 20% throw which we have found to be ideal for the driver, the transmission and ultimately for not missing a gear.
This is the age old question which shifter is better. Once you find your perfect set up you will no doubt love what you get.

Let's put it this way. I was really looking at the Barton but there a lot of reviews about it allowing for more noise than the stock shifter. I do not want to install a shifter and have to pull it back out of the car cause of a annoying sounds. (flowmasters all over again)

As far as shifters, I have an MGW that just arrived at my home today. (Thanks Julie). From what I have read and heard, MGW makes the absolute BEST mustang shifter out there. Best in terms of quality and feel.

That was on my 07 GT/CS. The drone was Horrible. I hated that car. I traded it in on the 11 GT/CS. The 07 had only 7,000 miles on it. Every thing I had done or did to that car was not up to my standards.

Some will say Barton. IMO, get the MGW!
Barton shifter with a top shifter and bracket will cost you $349.00
MGW which is a complete replacement of the shifter and shift box will cost you $345.00. The choice is a no brainer....
IMO the barton shifter and bracket is way over priced.
