Self inflicted damage

I've been backing into the garage at least once a day since July 7th in this car... and since November in the old Mustang... and I finally hit the **** table along the wall.

Caught the upper rear quarter panel right at the seam of the plastic bumper surround. Small scrape/chip where there used to be paint, and a dent that's just big enough to **** me off.

Worse yet, I park on that side because that table is there. Wife is afaid she'd hit it. Sigh.

Lol, yeah. If I had done it with the stang, that would be my reaction too. Although, brick porch > my big toe. Haha.

I know how you feel. This past summer as I was pulling into my garage I was paying more attention to the garage door going up than to where my car was in the door way. I got too close to the right side and broke of my side view mirror. Unlike other cars, the Mustang's side mirrors don't swing out of the way. Needless to say i had to replace the plastic piece to the tune of $150.

Problem with this kind of post is that every now and then it pops back up to the top as a reminder.

Wow, I didn't even notice the date. So it's safe to say the car is fixed, right?

I have a table as well and ask my wife to spot me every time I pull in the garage. She thinks I'm a nut.

I'd rather self inflict than somebody else because you can only guess how it happened if someone else did it. Anyways if you did it yourself you've got no one else to blame!!!

Awesome post and so true. The dings we put add personality and are part of breaking in in our minds. The ones other people do have us searching every parking lot for the culprit! It's kinda like spanking our kids. Jk!
