Seat Belt Not Retracting

The driver's side seat belt does not retract on its own when unbuckled. If I "feed" it back in it slowly retracts. When I pull it from the top (where it enters) the spring back is strong. But it does not go back correctly when I pull to buckle. There is no binding through the presenter or clip I can detect. Any thoughts?

Maybe you can get a little silicone spray on the mechanism to see if that helps. Just a thought.

could just be the retention mechanism just crapped out. you can pick up a used seat belt on ebay I'm sure.
