Roush supercharger for my 5.0 automatic.
Roush supercharger for my 5.0 automatic.
To start out with I have a 2012 5.0 automatic and I was thinking of going with a Roush Phase 1 supercharger because of the price. Today I called two Roush Ford dealers for pricing and install but since its Saturday I guess I'll have to call back Monday ?
Few questions I have does the PCM need to be sent to Roush to be programmed or could a tune just be loaded on to the SCT tuner that I have already for the car ? Anyways this is something new to me also is there anything else I need to know before purchasing one and if there is any one in the New Orleans area that can recommend a shop for the install oh ya just thought about it I heard if with the phase 1 kit you retain the factory warranty ?
Ill also take any other recommendations for other brand supercharges.
Thanks....

If an authorized roush dealer installs it or a certified mechanic the warranty is in tact. The installer will remove the PCM and send it to roush for programming. If you don't want the roush calibration like I didn't because it sucks then you can get a mail order tune and upload it yourself or get a Dyno tune. I had vmp send me a tune and uploaded it.
You have to purchase the warranty through roush, I believe it's $300.

Great my car is tuned already and I have the sct tuner. From your pic looks like you have the Phase 1 if so any regrets on not getting the phase 2 and why ? Sorry for all the questiones but this is not a small purchase.

I did a data log with vmp and he didn't have to adjust anything on the tune, said it was spot on. My Dyno shop buddy said if he didnt know it was a mail order tune he would have thought it was a Dyno tune. Vmp is the best in my opinion with the tvs blower.
Lot of blower to choose from and I know no sympathy asked you "why roush" on mustang evolution. You can't really go wrong with any blower out there. I just think the tvs is the most efficient roots style, svt went tvs so it's got to be efficient.
Oh and I LOVE the roush kit by the way. I'm in az and when I push her I never notice a drop in power or heat soak issues.

Have you spoken with Roush direct? When I looked into it a few months back they were quoting me about a 1/3 of that to install. Yes you have to take it to them in MI but even driving there and back is not $1000 in gas and you can enjoy the car on the way home!!
