Body shop a knocked $1400 off...we are getting closer...now to talk to the adjuster

As for turning around...that was not an option...so much chaos with all the cars that have been waiting for up to 5 hours to get going

And the funny thing about the rockers...they faired pretty well lol

Good luck

talked to adjuster's boss just as a last resort

still ~1300 off

called the adjusters boss with the concern that i thought maybe i was being steered to use a body shop they recommend

during the conversation the adjuster's boss asked if i thought about looking into trading it off...dealer may give me only 9000 less than its worth

i said i ordered this car how i wanted it...i couldnt find one similar...and i waited 3 months to get it...and that Deysha would hate me if i ordered a new one and bugged her again (ok well that last part i didnt say...because i didnt want him to think i was loopy...but it made me chuckle when i thought of it)

he is going to call me back and let me know what he finds out, and if he brings up the trading part...i am going to say "you buy my car, i will order a new one"

appointment set for monday at the body shop a...good news is body shop isnt going to charge me to paint louvers for the quarter windows

For me personally, trading it, selling it, whatever route, and getting a new one would have been the only option for me. Been down that road with painting on brand new cars, doesn't work for me.

Is the shop painting the door jambs and under decklid/decklid drain area. Sounds nuts but you want to make sure there's no "seams" or obvious paint transitions. The door jambs are usually the giveaway that a car has had paint work by how it looks and feels. In addition, they are often overlooked by most shops. Just curious.

If you really want the 64x rims it probably wouldn't be too hard to find someone willing to trade their stockers for some RTRs

Good call on the AC condensor coil. I would look into underbody coating as well.

Got it back last friday!

a week prior i went to look at it as they were waiting for parts, there were some issues that needed to be taken care of...and they did...awesome job...with the exception of not swapping out my bulbs and ballasts from the old headlights (luckily i still had those) so i had to take it back last saturday so they could do that...3 hours to do that since you need to take the bumper cover off to remove the headlights (doh)

turned out great...everything repainted except trunk and rear bumper...blend is great...added DG louvers (painted for free)

now i just ordered RTRs from American muscle and will put those on when they get here.

oh and since i kept all the headlights/foglights/mirrors...i was overjoyed when they replaced my pony projector lights too...and now i have 2 to mess around with (9v battery works awesome )

here are a couple pics from when i went over a week before i picked it up

oh and a bonus of the AC Condenser
