The stock pirelli's I had were noisy, but with good rotation habits, I got 49K out of them; could have squeezed a bit more, but the Michelin tires I wanted next went on a sale, and I bought those. Great wear so far, and much, much quieter then the pirelli's.

I just put on a set of hankook ventus s1 noble2. Silent and better performing than the pirellis. My pirellis were so loud they made me mad when I drove.

Road noise is almost a function of tire construction. I put on a set of Michelin Super Sports, for the summer, and they are quieter then the Pirelli's - but not silent

Put the Kuhmo Ecsta all seasons on my wife's GT, 100x quieter than the PZeros. I hate the noise from my summer on PZeros. Can't wait to put the BFG Comp 2s on my Boss next year. They run those at Miller and they swear by them even in the rain.
