**** remote!

Anybody have any luck programming their remote garage opener (whatever Ford calls it)??

I have a fixed code Home Depot job, and I have followed the Ford owners manual to the T, but no luck! Any tips?

Thx,
Chad

Same here... no problems. It's called HomeLink BTW. You should verify that your garage door opener is supported.

I don't think Ford uses Homelink, it's actually Car2U. What brand and model is your garage door opener? I'd like to help but I need more info. You can actually go to the Car2U website and see if your opener is compatible.

I have an old Sears opener which isn't compatible with the Car2u. I ordered one of these and problem solved.

Thanks. It's made by clicker products; got it years ago at Home Deport. Here is a pic; I just did like the manual said for the 1-12 dip switches ... 1-4 On, 5-12 Off

Now we can all break into your garage!

That looks like the remote. What is the brand/model of your actual opener? If you find that then you can go to the link that blk12vert posted above and check compatibility. But there should be a learn button somewhere on the unit. That's what you need to press to program it.

Haha, nope, it's for a community gate so there's no brand visible. When I bought the house, the remote took a dump, so I bought this and just mimiced the switches ... so no I am trying to do the same in the car

Homelink and car2u work the same in nthe programming of the device itself. Google the instructions for homelink, and follow directions for either dip switch type openers, or those with rolling codes (1996 and later garage door openers).
