Reflections on a 2012 Mustang
Reflections on a 2012 Mustang
I started looking at a new car early this year. Checked out this forum for ideas and opinions on the Mustang and received a great deal of good information including one who said I sounded more like a "SHO" kinda guy. He was probably right except I had been driving company or company-like cars for many years. I had a 2003 Sable with 232,000 miles and decided something very different was in order.
Two weeks ago I took delivery of a 2012 GT Premium coupe with the only changes made to the order sheet being automatic transmission, comfort group to get the power passenger seat, tape stripe and spoiler deletes. Black with saddle interior.
What a great choice. I am absolutely impressed with this car. It is a pleasure getting into it every day. The power and response is all almost anyone needs, the sound is fantastic, the steering, in sport mode, is just sensitive enough to feel like a real sports car should.
I know many will disagree with the deletes and lack of many of the performance additions but this is all I "need". I would have preferred the Brembos but I could not deal with the lack of a spare and I really prefer the look of the standard 18" wheels. I also initially wanted the lava red but after seeing one in person decided black was the better choice. The saddle interior was the only color I really liked and looks spectacular with the black.
The picture, not great, is the new Mustang, my 1966 Galaxie 500 XL that I owned since new and my wife's 2011 Lincoln MKX. As you can see I am a true Ford man from way back.

Nobody can disagree with what YOU like, it's your car! You can get spares on your own for the Brembos. Got a spare with my Roush, and it has the upgraded 20s.
Don't see any pics, try again pls.
