Record stays in 1985...
Thanks again man, but it's really Boomer (and a few others) who deserve the credit here. Boomer has been a consistent barometer for this forum making certain that we always had a good idea of what was and what was not coming. Boomer knows his stuff, and while not everybody gives him credit for it, he consistently delivers and he does so with class in spite of the naysayers.
I was just afraid some decisions were changed, ford did a 180, and i'd have to eat my own shoe
I have made some great friends over the years.... for that I'm very thankful.

The BOSS is coming isn't it Boom?
Sadly I can't wait any longer. Ford just has too many good stangs coming out I have to get one or else I'll be waiting forever lol.
Maybe I'll eat the depreciation on an '11 GT and get a '12 BOSS?

I can understand the argument that the Camaro lacked 2-3 sales months that the 2010 Mustang had, but that really shouldn't have made that much difference. One would've expected a blowout, 3-month disadvantage or not. Merely keeping pace or even doing slightly better overall (even if it had the hypothetical missing months) than the 2010 Mustang is not what the new Camaro should be satisfied to achieve after an 8 year absence, a brand new platform, and years of good hype and PR (in no small part due to Bumblebee and the Transformers movies). This kind of showing is what one would've expected to see a few years from now.

Suckers like me who bought a 2010 V6 pony still have decent cars, but the 2011 model lineup is looking spectactular. Not sure i can eat the 1 year depreciation, but 3-4 years from now i'll be getting a sweet V8, potentially discounted heavily.
I wonder if they're counting the 10,000 preorders (I think that was how many they had) they took last year starting in October as this year sales since they couldn't take delivery until this year. I didn't see any mention of that, but I may have missed it.
haha...awesome!
Any guesses? I think it unlikely that a variant of the 5.0L makes it into the GT500 in 2011. Maybe in 2012. I'm guessing the GT500 for 2011 will have the aluminum block and the TVS. 650 easy HP there. Or perhaps a TVS with a huge pulley for 600HP.
Yep, the aluminum block 5.4 has all but been confirmed for the 2011 GT500...numbers are any body's guess. Sounds like we will have to wait another ~month to find out.
