Quick 2013 Question

I was looking at a GT Premium at a local dealership and I noticed it doesn't have the strut tower brace like my 2012 does. This car didn't have Brembo brakes. Will my 2013 Brembo Auto GT Premium have the tower brace? I know I've seen pictures/videos of 2013s with them.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that all mustangs with 19" wheels got the stb, I got an 11 GT premium and had no stb because I had factory 18" wheels. Premium or not was not the deciding factor so much as wheel size

Okay, for some reason I thought all premiums had 19" wheels. I think this one had factory 18's.

My '11 GT/CS has the brace..... Funny thing about that. I liked that it is color matched to my Ingot Silver car.......then I saw a black one with it and asked the owner why his brace was painted silver..... Guess Ford did them all in Ingot Silver. I found that different.....but it is a $$$ saving thing.

Haha that's funny. I kinda like that they're silver. Better contrasting in my DIB engine compartment.

Sky Hye, does yours have 19" rims? I'm trying to confirm that the 19's are the deciding factor.

19" = brace
18" = no brace

Except in the case of the convertible, which get the brace (STB) regardless of wheel size.

The base Premium wheel is 18" (I have them and love them). If you want 19s you have to opt for the CS or Brembo packages or a 19" wheel option. However you get your nineteens, you'll then get the STB on the coupe.

On that note I added the STB to my car for $135 (Blue Oval Industries). So now I have the OEM STB, which might confuse people further if they see it at a show. :-)

I ordered 19" on mine, like the ones on the SG convertible you see all around the Net, no track pack nor brembo brakes. We will have to wait and see if this coupe comes with the brace.

This question comes up like clockwork every few weeks. Looks like its time for a sticky to clarify.
