Purchasing my first tuner and cold air intake ?

I have a 2012 GT auto with mods that include Flowmaster series 40 axle back
exhaust and resonator delete and don't plan on doing any more exhaust mods or modding the motor then what it is. So with all that I'm looking at Steeda's CAI and there tuner combo, is there anything I should know before ordering ?
Sorry for another tuner post, I have read so many I'm a bit confused again that's why this one is Steeda specific.
Thanks...

I have a Bama and JLT set-up and I am very happy. Steeda seems like they are in the same ballpark as all the other big companies. I will be honest and say that all the tunes are **** close IMO, some other guys pull more timing and pick up power in areas like that so in the same breath I want to same Bama, Steeda are the most conservative of them all, I cant speak on the auto aspect because I own a 6 speed and I can't speak on Steeda but I bet you will be VERY happy with there combo.

The new Diablo does not leave a trace, but the other tuners do. There's a thread about it on this forum and svtperformance. That is the one I will be going with

Best auto tuner out there right now is VMP and Amazon. Power is all about the same with most tunes but its the tranny set up with the auto that matters most. Airaid CAI works best with the auto also. You will see about 10rwhp with a CAI but no notice much at the track.

rm2092,
We've done quite a few tunes on autos with great results. If I can help you put something together just let me know. Thank you for considering Steeda for your performance upgrades!

I had it on my 2012 Kona Blue Gt Automatic with the Bama tunes and it was great. I ran it with the 93 performance tune and I could get a chirp going into 2 and 3 if I really got on it. I never got a chance to try out their race tune.

My car was in an accident last friday so now I have to start all over again but I will purchase the Steeda Cold Air Kit and Bama tunes again without a doubt.
This time around I will have a manual trans.

RM2092,

Glad you could get with John to make your purchase ... it would not let me PM you back on the other forum ... but it looks like all is handled.

Tormentor, glad to see your okay ... can't say the same with the car.

When you ready and able ... well be here to help you out.

Best Regards,

TJ

You won't regret getting the Steeda CAI !!!
After looking at all the others out there what sold me was the Fit and Finish not including they use the factory duct to force cold air from the bottom. I only wish the heat shield would have been left alone and not painted black. I went with the Bama tune from AM and have had no complaints so far. Anyway enjoy!!!
