Prices for FRPP?

Does anyboyd have an idea on what the supercharger 400HP option would cost on the 2010? I would love to get me a charcoal 2010 with the 400HP whipple option and a retained warranty 3yrs/ 36,000 miles! If I could land a 2010 GT premium with the 400hp whipple option for around 36k or less I would be stoked! Anybody know anything about this?

The Powertrain is Carry Over So Pricing Should Be Close to 08/09 Listings. Just be Prepared to Wait for EPA Certification.

How much do you think they will charge for the dealership to install it?

IMO: The 400hp non-intercooled FRPP blower should easily cost less than $1K for a dealership to install. The cost of the blower is probably in the $4500-$5500 range, so figure on spending about $5000-$6500 for parts & labor to have the FRPP 400hp on a 2010 Mustang GT. Want the 500hp FRPP intercooled blower instead? Figure on another $1500 for the kit and a few hundred more for the install charges.

With a heavy foot, and without forged internals, you'll grenade your engine going the 500hp route.

I'd stick with the 400hp iteration. Or better yet, wait for the 400hp 5.0L engine in 2011 and then add the lower spec blower to THAT to net yourself that 500hp. I'm assuming Ford will offer a similar blower range for the 5.0L.

500Hp just seems like way too much for this motor w/o installing forged internals...... Would you agree? I have heard that going over 400hp with the standard stransmission and internals of the motor is really pushing it. I plan on driving this car more than just on sundays so it would be getting used more offten then a cruiser.

Absolutely agree. There's no free lunch here.

I think I saw someone quoted a price of $3k for the non-intercooled and $4k for the intercooled in a post on modular fords. Don't know if that was installed or not or how reliable it is or what the rest of his deal was. (this is the internet after all) I bet it will be dealer specific.
