Possible "Balance Out" date for current 2014 Mustang
Hey everyone, I wanted to post some info I got recently during out meeting with our sales rep. The balance out date for the current 2014 model looks to be June 20th. The new car (2015) showed a Job#1 date of August 11th (I posted a thread about the date for the new car in the 2015 forum).
So for anyone who wants a current car, I would get your order in no later than May to be safe. When I get more info, (like a last day to order date)I'll be happy to post it. Again, this date is tentative, and can always change. I just wanted to let you all know about the info I got. Any questions, let me know. I'm always happy to help. Thanks everyone.

I'm really surprised Ford would go that late on '14 production, or wait that late to start the '15.
Means they will have produced the '14 for well over a year!

Yup! With the new F150 starting Job#1 sometime in May/June, I'm sure they don't want both big releases happening at the same time month-wise. Its always good to stagger new releases.

I'm actually surprised ford is releasing both re-designed models in the same year. They aren't in competing classes, which means that (ideally from Ford's perspective) people can justify having both. If they come out the same season, virtually everyone will have to buy one or the other. Split them up by a year and a lot more people will be getting both than there will be this year.

Sweet, thanks for the info!
Based on past models, do options (aside from colors) tend to run dry/balance out as production of a model nears the end? For example, if you wait until March or April to order the car, are you gambling that they would be able to build what you ordered?

Hey bud, I've been tied up at work here with the end of the year, and health issues still trouble me. That accident I had back in July of 2012, I still am having headaches from it But mostly, we are at 5 salespeople, and its only me and a new guy on my shift, so I didn't have time to post on here, and it killed me not being on here. Its the beginning of the year now and its just not busy, plus I'm going to make it on here daily again, like old times.

Hey buddy, I'm feeling so-so to be honest. I still have headaches from my accident, plus my other issues I deal with from my Colitus surgery back over 11 years ago. I'm a trooper and I deal with it, but somedays, I just don't feel all that well, sadly. But the new Mustang is cheering me up though!! Thank you for asking bud. I really appreciate it.
