Pony Puddle lamp

I just purchased a 2014 Mustang V6 Premium with the Comfort Package.
The driver side Pony puddle lamp is surrounded by what look like a rectangle full of sparkles, the Passenger side is just the Pony with no rectangle.

Has anyone seen this before? would it be covered by the 3/36 warranty? is it worth fixing?

Thank you in advance for the feedback.

It should be covered under warranty - mine was. But, it will happen again.

this is water/condensation getting in behind the lens. it unfortunately is common.
you can get it replaced under warranty, but it will only happen again.

It is wet out here that is for sure, will it get better after it dries up or is it permanent? wondering if it is worth it to take out the lenses and seal them?

it is permanent. I tried sealing them when I first got them to no avail.

Oh well, it's a nice but not necessary option. I will get it fixed under warranty and if it goes again, so be it. Thanks for the info

I seem to recall they don't cost much if you choose to fix them post-warrant.

The lens under the mirror pops out and you can unplug them and pop the lens back in, this would of course make the puddle lamp dead.
But I'd have them looked at by the dealer, if they'll cover them under the 3/36 warranty (which they should), I don't see why not.
I added them to my car and love them ... they've been on there for over a year now and still look great.
I've read somewhere that they may have been redesigned so they don't get messed up anymore ...
