Pics of 2012 Stone interior

I noticed earlier today that pictures of 2012 Mustangs are starting to trickle out on the net. I found a picture of the new 2-tone stone interior in a 2012 Race Red GT convertible. I had already ordered it for for my own 2012 Race Red vert, and was pleased to see that it looks nice, IMHO. Any thoughts?

I think Stone + Kona Blue is a killer combo, especially in a convertible. Saw an '11 Pony pkg convertible with this combo once in person and it was fabulous!

That said, the same light color that is cool in the summer and a great contrast to dark exterior colors is also prone to showing dirt & tougher to keep clean. For instance, a previous car had a light cream colored interior and my leather belt left a mark on the leather seat that was devilish to remove.

I think that looks real nice, much better than the 2011 Stone.

I think the 2012 Stone interior looks great. Thank goodness, since I ordered it sight-unseen.

I’ve got a light gray leather interior in my current car. I think it is actually easier to keep clean since it hides dust. I haul guitar cases in the back and have noticed some marks, but they all wiped off with a damp cloth.

I am glad that I got a 2011. I like the door panels in gray, mainly becuase of heat.

I like the 2010-2011 stone interior better as far as it brightens up the interior a lot.

I also have seen (maybe on here) where the blue from your new blue jeans will color your stone seats...

It's a sharp colour but I'd have a stroke trying to keep it looking clean.

Luckily, I don't wear jeans In all seriousness, I like the two-tone interior more than the older monotone.

Is the 'new' stone more grey than the old, which looked kinda not grey?

Exactly, love the contrast look but what a pain keeping it nice!

I don't believe so. The stone color should be the same. It used to be that the entire interior was stone. With the 2012s, the stone interior changes the door-trim, headliner, sill plates, package tray and A-pillars from stone to charcoal. But, the seats and door-trim insert are stone, giving it a two-tone look.

It's all subjective...but if you're looking for opinions, I give it a big thumbs down. This reminds me of late 70s car in a bad way.

I may change my mind when I see one in person. I do hope that ypure happy with it. That's all that matters.

That's fine. I welcome honest opinions, even when I disagree with them. I think it looks great, and am very happy I ordered it sight unseen for my 2012 vert. I think it will look particularly sharp when I add this aftermarket aluminum console trim kit.

Well no matter what I think of it, Ford has clearly spent some good money on interior design and I have no doubt that it will be tasteful, modern and stylish...even if it looks like it should be in a 1976 T-Bird.

I have the stone interior on my 2011, and have two little ones that climb in and out of the backseat everyday. The only scuffs they leave and the only difficult part to keep clean is anything thats charcoal! The stone leather actually hides most blemishes so far. I love it, and its classy to boot. Gotten many compliments on it so far. I am digging the 2012 version too

I prefer the 2010-2011 (like mine!) because there is less black plastic

I definitely like this version better. I think a set of 401A stone seats with black insert would look great too.

For those complaining about marks, any decent brand of leather cleaner will take care of that. My cashmere stripe shows denim color after a month or so, a quick wipe with Lexol cleaner does the trick.

Wish Ford would have done this with the '10 & '11s too. :/ I hate my Stone interior.
