So the V6 will remain with the live axle, even with the performance package....

Of course, there was never any thought that it wouldn't keep the live axle.

All a swing axle would do is add weight and eat horsepower and cost a bunch more.

Yup that good old dinosaur tech LRA its only good for over .95g on the skidpad, 0-60 flat 5secs, 60-0 stopping distances of 103 feet or less, and quarter mile times in the upper mid 13s. Thats pretty lousy for a stock off the showroom floor 305hp almost 3500 pound little v6 how>

right? Oh yeah I forgot it can still get almost 30mpg highway and carry 4 people while only costing mid 20's
