Painting lower trim in 2011

Has anyone had the lower trim painted to match the cars color? I have a black 2011 and was thinking about replacing them with painted part or have them painted

Yep, a few guys have - it's not easy job because it's so hard to match metal to plastic paint and that plastic requires a lot of prep. Do some searches and you'll find some discussion...
