Does anyone have the nav update 7.0 installed?

http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...gationMenu=YES

I wanted to ask if a new freeway was in the coverage in 7.0 so I asked an agent at "here maps" and the rep said I'd have to check with dealership

I\m reaching out there to anyone with this update to plz check for me before I shed $149 and later finding out I would've had it in the 8.0 if I had waited..

Till september 30 its $149 with free shipping btw...

Ugh what! I just bought 6.0.X last year for $199... I assume that's the price it'll go up to. Not down to spend $150-200/year on map updates...

Also, the 6.0.X update also advertised expanded speed limit data.. not sure if 7.0.X actually expands on the expanded data from last year...

The 7.0 update just got released earlier this Month. My copy is already on its way and FedEx says I should have it by the end of this week.

You don't need to update every year unless you find the GPS doesn't have at lot of the POI or roads you are interested in. I bought my car in 2010 and never updated and the GPS has never let me down.

Yeah, it's just the upgrade itch. I upgraded for the first time last year and the new speed limit data on major roads is nice.

No speed limits are displayed unless you are actually using navigation correct? You do not see Speed Limit if you just pull up map do you??

There are speed limits displayed without routes in progress if you have 6.0.X and up. And to the snarky comment about road signs, yes, if you don't drive on freeways where the limit changes between 60 and 70 but there are no signs for miles.

I remember you telling me that before ...

Can anyone else conform if Version 6 has speed limit without navigating?

Depends on the roads. Only major roads have speed signs for me. But if a speed sign is available eg during a route guidance, it's now available outside route guidance. There are def still roads with no speed signs even in route guidance.
