P2098 Code on 2012 Boss 302

MIL went on today on the way home from work. Got code P2098, which the Google says is "Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean."

Has anyone got this one before? I did a search and didn't get any results...

Means that the rear O2 sensor was reading lean.

Clear the codes and see if it comes back, if not then probably just a hiccup.

Thanks Lightning Driver. I cleared it. Ever since I got the P0300 random misfire I've kept a cheap code reader in the console. I'll update if it comes back. It probably wasn't ready for the nice 79* day haha.

Aaaand it's back. I brought it to the dealer but they can't look at it today and I'm looking at another 60-70 hour week not including my night class final on Tuesday. I made an appt for next Sat morning.

Anybody want to start guessing what the cause of the code is? I'm not getting any pinging.

That's what I'm hoping for at this point.

Bone stock. Was getting down to about the 50 miles to empty range. Should be good fuel.

I just want to get it resolved asap since it has a play date in Vegas next month with several hundred supercharged Shelbys.

Just an update. Ford gave it an updated flash on the PCM after clearing the code and MIL. So far so good. I probably have 30 miles on it since then. I'll post up if anything changes.

They did say they had made sure they had the sensor, since that's what I asked them to do. I highly recommend finding out the owner's email address where you get service. Just email the service mgr and cc the owner on any requests. Rock solid service.
