Ordering Time Frame for a 2013

What do you guys think the latest to order a 2013? I'm trying to sell my car first so I can get more but would like to have the opportunity to order one instead of buying one off the lot.

As early as this schedule started I would think it will run for quite awhile. However, I have never been able to buy a next year car in the first quarter of previous year. Best bet is to call Ford customer service, maybe they can help.

Also, check you states new vehicle tax rules. It may just be cheaper to trade your car in some instances. For example in North Carolina sales tax (3%) is calculated on the amount you pay the dealer. If you pay the entire amount of the car price, say $30,000 the tax is $900. If your trade is priced at $15,000, with $15,000 left to pay the tax is $450. Hope this makes sense. So you need to do some math to see if it's worth your while to sell your car for $500 more than the dealer is offering. Good luck.

It starts at 6.25%, but every county adds to it up to a maximum of 2.0%, which means you're almost certainly paying 8.25% (some counties are lower, but not much).

Wow, cheap sales tax you all have out there! Here in Seattle, sales tax is 9.8%. We have a sales tax credit on car purchases for trade-in's, so it's often better to trade-in a late-model car than to sell it privately.

I'm suprised it has stayed at 3% here in NC. We have a Governor that loves to spend money. She must not be paying attention to these taxes, 'cause she raised our sales, and gas taxes right out of the gate.

Whoa 9.8 sales tax that is killer and I thought we had it bad. We pretty much get a credit on the trade in also.
