Ok, let's be havin it already
The cars mags will want to get the cars at their home office, test them at their own test track.
And they will want to take a 500 mile tour through amish country or death valley or some other crazy local to add "flavor" to the article. This will also allow the challenger to win the three way test because it has the biggest trunk.
they'll go more in depth compared to the joe-shomoe car-rags. 5.0 and MM&FF are geared to the worshipers of the Mustang throne like us who want real track times, real dyno numbers and no BS
I have already read some reviews that compared drag times of both cars. The only downside is was they were both at airports, and thus not ideal conditions, but represent real world conditions. I think we all know which one was faster.
http://jalopnik.com/5503993/2011-for...ng-first-drive In this one they compare 1/8 times for maro and stang, both autos.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ak4HZa90PQM skip to 8 minutes, they also ran 1/8 mile.
Many of the other articles talk about the maro times, motortrend for ex., but they never mention actually driving it again, an so they are probably just quoting a previous test.

Unless there are some drastic changes to the 2011 SS, I don't really see it pulling ahead of the 5.0 in numbers due to the weight difference of the two. And if the SRA is as good as one mag(I forget which one) says as compared to the IRS, GM will have to make some changes there as well just to help it along with all the other non-1320 tests.
I don't like the Camaro, but I do think the LS3 is more capable when modding. Simple cam swaps, lots of head and intake choice. We don't even have 3v heads yet other than P&P FRPP stockers.
Anyone who talks crap about the LS3 is an idiot who knows nothing about engines.
That said, what can Chevy do? Not sure, their car isn't as well sorted as the stang. It's just an engine with a dull car wrapped around it and an uninspiring chassis.

not saying that too much more can be paired off 0-60 but something was def. left on the table as far as E.T. in the 1/4 mile if you're leaving with wheelspin in ALL of 1st gear
