I will cringe the day i have to leave my car overnight to have it serviced or repaired! I had to have my left rear tire patched today because of a nail. Guy says itll be about 45 minutes before he can get to me, do i wanna just leave it and come back later? I was like nahhh, ill wait, wheres the coffee at? Ha ha! Then when the guy brought it around back, i watched him like a hawk the whole time!!!

I'm just about due for my 1st oil change and I'm going to be "That guy" for this one so that they make sure that they don't screw it up. I have had horrible service from the Bimmer dealership here so far Columbia hasn't impressed me any in the service department subject.

When I had the Boss oil cooler installed the mechanic (who is a personal friend of mine) immediately started talking about short cuts to get it done quicker. I asked him had he ever installed an oil cooler on a Mustang before? he said no. I said then let's do it by the instructions.

... at a Ford dealer. And the tech couldn't find reverse.
Now, to be fair, I have a Hurst T-handle shifter on there... but I kinda expected they'd know what they're doing.
Three of 'em standing around watching, so I went over and said 'left and up'... but he still couldn't find it. Second guy kept saying it's 'left and DOWN'... so HE got in and tried that two or three times just to make sure before he gave up and went the other way.
Kind of amused me.
I guess I'll put a piece of masking tape on the shifter next time and draw a picture.

This exact same thing happened to me. Took it to the dealer cause the first change was free. Sat outside and drank an iced tea as I cringed watching three ford techs try and figure out how to get it into reverse. They figured it out before i could walk over and the guy that was driving was fine though once they figured that out so I guess all worked out.

Technically all the way left, push down, then up. people can never find that.
When I took delivery, the salesman was like be careful, it's very hard to get reverse, it's hot or miss with it. I got in and boom. And I wasn't even aware of the push down thing and hasn't driven stick for like 5 years. It's more of just a paying attention kinda thing. People wanna just do things the way they want to do it, whether it's right or wrong.

My choice will always be Amsoil Full Syn with their extended life filters. Choose any reputable brand and you'll be good.

I am going to have Ford do the first oil change as I know from experience that many times the oil filter from the factory is on so tight you practically have to destroy it to get it off.
