Oil Cooler now available from Rehagen racing for the 5.0
Rehagen racing is pleased to announce our new Oil cooler kit for the 2011 5.0.
The coyote motor is know to run high oil temps when pushed hard for extended periods of High RPM. An oil cooler however was bypassed for the 2011 Mustang as Ford felt it would add cost to the car and that 95% of Mustang buyers would not push their cars that hard. Well this site isn't exactly the 95% of buyers they speak of
FRPP has released a key compent needed to make an oil cooler setup for the 2011 5.0, however it is not a kit as many had expected. No worries though.
2011 5.0L REMOTE OIL FILTER ADAPTOR:

So here is what we are doing at Rehagen Racing. We are making our own kits utilizing this block, aeroquip Starlite (extreme lightweight flame resistant braided line) and aeroquip AN fittings along with a front mount cooler and remote oil filter setup.
Now keep in mind our standard offering is made from the BEST materials in the racing industry, no expense spared, HOWEVER we can make these kits with more affordable components like earls hoses for the more casual racer or street driver and they will cost significantly less
We are offering this kit for $695 un-assembled (you have to build the hoses and fittings yourself, we include them but you build them).
OR
For $75 extra we provide everything premade and ready to install in the car.
We have these kits in the shop right now and ready to ship

I had a thread a while back (maybe not this site) where I mentioned my oil, Mobil 1, was very dark after track days. Almost as if it were burnt. Other `05 and up trackers still had clear oil. Don`t remember this occuring on my earlier `06 either. Anyone know if the oil still is effective in this state or are we going to need these oil-coolers for tracking.
Cheers.

The lines are totally differnt lengths and the cooler is sized to fit the front of a pickup truck not the front of a Mustang. you will spend more time and (most likely) buying and modifying that setup to fit then to buy this kit, let alone or value kit made with normal braided line

I'm thinking of throwing a 5.0 crate into my '06 sometime next year...any chance RR is gonna fab a PS pump bracket and A/C bracket kit for that type of application?
Need the A/C out here in AZ, gonna be a few years before I can gut it and turn it into a dedicated track *****.

Outstanding...you guys thinking about carrying those as a regular item, or would it be a one-off? Any thoughts on a ballpark price yet?
I'll get in touch with you in 2011 if that's the route I go................................
