like I said, everyone thinks light wheels is a big deal.

For the street it isnt. It doesnt matter. The difference between a 24-5lb wheel an a 28 lb wheel is like .0025 of a mpg and means nothing in terms of handling/ride (your on street tires after all)

95% of the OEM wheels you guys get from the factory weigh that much.

Super light wheels (unless they are forged in which case they cost ~$500+/PER WHEEL) are fragile. You guys have seen US Road quality, do you want a weak street wheel?

Super light wheels only matter at a track.
(and hell my lightweight track wheels still weigh 20lbs per for an 18x10)

That's not a hard thing to do, take them to a local PC shop and have them coated in the color of your choice.

Shaun, with respect to your views, IMO lighter wheels do make a difference on the street in terms of handling if only in unsprung weight; and the better feel/feedback.

If you want high quality light wheels look no further than BBS or OZ. Look at the latter's Ultraleggera.

I for one love the looks of the RTR wheels. I suppose people feel they want 18lb rims made from titanium for 600 a set. right... 28lbs per wheel isn't bad considering the rim size. Hell BBS racing wheels that are 19x8.5 are 22.6lbs which are nearly 1200 per rim! Lightest wheels I ever played with came off my buddy's race team Porche GT2 they were made from magnesium I seriously doubt they would daily drive those

You can not explore the limit of where you can feel the difference in unsprung weight with Street tires they do not provide enough traction for you to feel that slight a diff.

If this were thread where we were talking about open track stuff with Hossiers on all 4 corners then you could be on to something but on the street there is no way to tell as the tire will lose traction to soon.

On compression and rebound you cant feel the diff.

Your right on about rim size vs weight.

My 18x10 forged wheels weight 19.8 and retail for $699/per

Those rims are hot! Can't decide between RTR or Brembo 19" package.

I have them on my GT, and i can tell you they're almost black looking. It is a very dark gunmetal.

I think these rims are sweet. Question is, what can people get for their stock '11 rims on the open market?

package has 255's on the front and 275's on the rear

I have 275/40-19 on all 4 corners. But I chose the widest 275 on the market (not all 275's are the same)

Wish the whole kit wasn't so high, If I can't piece by piece build my rtr then at least I know I can get the rims
At first I didn't think too much of the 19" brembo package wheels but I saw them again the other day and they looked really good with the tires they come with, sat nice! Idk yet but I got plenty of time to think it over lol.

When will these be available? Need to know if I should wait, or go with another wheel.
