now i really have a reason to worry.
...
now here is where it gets interesting, he called ford 2 weeks ago about my order, he didnt say who he was tlaking to, but he said there is a hold on your car cause its a manual, and they told him its going to be at least 2 more months.
, so i asked why did his salesman say it would be there this week? his answer.. blank stare

Sorry to come across snippy, my temper is boiling... not at you pony racer, but at Ford
At SEMA 2009, reps from Ford told me about the early ordering for the 2011s...
Spec'd the car 12/26/09, ordered accepted 1/19/10, built 5/14/10... been waiting since.
I'm just beyond angry at the Ford BS of people ordering cars afterward that are driving around...
I know it's not the other owners fault, I just don't understand why Ford goes and brags about pre-selling 11,000 units opening day if they can't
ship 'em.
What's the purpose in ordering early? (my stupid mistake)
I was happy with my 2005 Mustang GT that I ordered in July of 2004 and received November of 2004. Prior to that purchase, the only Ford I had considered purchasing was the new T-bird until I saw that dealers were marking them up +10k... I figured even with the competition out there, I would give Ford the business again and purchase a 2011 Mustang GT. Now with it sitting at AAI for who knows how long, I'm having second thoughts. It has until my birthday next month to get here before I consider my other options.
:end rant:
This is in no way directed at you pony racer, I'm just
POed and I hope someone at Ford sees it... not that it'll make any difference -I'm just one buyer

If I do get my car in soon I will feel bad about posting that I picked it up lol. They really should make it right with people that ordered so soon for nothing...on way or another.
Sorry for venting...
Don't feel bad if you get your car -it's yours to enjoy (besides, the pics give those w/o something to look @
)Heck, if I had mine, I would be posting pics & video non-stop -well maybe not because I would be driving the
out of it.
no worries.
im just as
as you were in the same boat trying to get up the river without a paddle.the reason im
is, all the crap going on, as of today my ( original dealer ) still had all myy paper work, and i have a feeling if i didnt go there nothing would have even been moved forward. hopefully i'll hear something on that by the end of the week..now we just have to wait
, i told the rep if i dont get this car by the end of the month. i'm canceling my order and getting another car through a different company. im sure i can get a toyota for 1/2 the price
I think the dealers really make or break the ordering experience. If they keep up communication and send regular updates (even when nothing has changed), then it is much easier to stay calm, even when the news is bad.

. All in all very stressful.

on aside note..
talked to the New Dealer this evening.
told me not to worry, i explained everything to him,
believe it or not this guy was telling me stuff i DIDNT know..
after speaking to the sales manager, he assured me everything will go smoothlyy that he is getting access to the other dealers info tomorrow, he also stated that the owner of the old dealership is going to be working for them. all in all i hung up the phone feeling slightly better..
got news from Johnyb that the car hasnt moved
In Production Produced Autoalliance International Inc, MI May-19-2010 May-26-2010
doesnt even look like it left the plant.. ( or hasnt been produced?)
here is something funny. i was originally wanted to purchase the car from this dealer. but they wouldnt order early, i told the manager that. he was pissed esp since i was a returning customer, and come to find out the salesman that i dealt with 15years ago.. still works there.. so those 2 will be handling the deal. he stated he will find out exactly what is going on with the car and get back to me on thursday.
