Ok so I've purchased some michelin pilot super sport tires for my 2014 supercharged 5.0 255/35/20 in front and 305/30/20 in the back an these tires are scary I live in Toronto an today it was around 3 degrees kinda windy but dry an what I thought would be a good day for cruising an not even putting down my foot I thought I was gonna slide out an even the wheel was shaking

 

No tires are good for 3 degree weather.

 

i'm in the cambridge / Waterloo area and even with my V6, I had to be careful with throttle response and corners

weathers still too cold for any respectable traction.

 

Summer tires (like the Pilot Sport) should never be used in below freezing weather. In most cases, even below 40*F is questionable if the tires aren't warmed up.

This is especially true for high horsepower vehicles. Choose the right tires for the job.

 

Summer tires in freezing temps is like driving on ice. I remember when my awd ms6 came with summer tires and I did a 180 with about 1/4" of snow on the road going 10mph.

 

My car is put away for December-end of March but looks like all have to buy some all seasons for October November an April

 

I have Michelin PSS on my GT500 and at plus 17 C today (63 degrees F) and I can finally start to put some power down. I can blow the tires off in the first 4 gears easily if the temp is under 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees F). When it gets warmer out those tires stick pretty darn good.
