New mustang owner help!

I just purchased a 2013 mustang gt premium with the 5.0. My question is what are the best mods for hp gain to bang for the buck. What I have already ordered is a JLT CIA
Borla full exhaust
3.73 rear gears because it came with 3.15
So what else can I add without voiding the warranty?

As explained to me by a Ford service manager, it's not exactly a case of voiding the warranty. If they can prove that a certain modification caused a problem, then that particular problem will not be covered under the warranty. But the warranty remains intact.

Did you get a tune with the CAI? Any intake changes on these cars requires a recalibration (tune). You could do the Boss 302 intake manifold, & maybe headers. After that you're pretty much looking at forced induction as the next mod.

The 6R80(automatic transmission) doesn't like 3.73 gears. Just a heads up. 1st gear will be nonexistent, and 2nd will barely be there. The automatic transmission(6R80) is geared much differently than the manual(MT82). 3.73s with the 6R80 is equivalent to 4.11s with a manual. Look into 3.31 or 3.55 gears. The fastest auto NA '11-14 mustangs use 3.31 gears.

You're going to need a tune for the CAI.

Also, no mod "voids" your warranty. If you damage something because of your mods, Ford simply won't pay for the repairs.

After CAI & tune, forced induction or nitrous would be next. The Boss intake is expensive & doesn't gain a whole lot for the $$. The factory shifter isn't the greatest. MGW shifters are excellent. I've had 3 of them.

Then disregard my comments on the gearing . I assumed you had an auto because of the 3.15 gears, as those come stock on the 6R80 cars.

3.15s on a manual? Ew. Smart move swapping them.

As I understand it, changing the tune will pretty much void the warranty on your motor entirely.

It doesn't void the warranty, buuuuut if you have a tune and damage your motor, Ford won't pay for the repairs. You'll still have your power train warranty for your transmission, driveshaft, axle, etc.

I'd check with your tuner, but most reputable ones say that they will cover repairs if their tune is found responsible for damage that Ford won't pay for.

Got all my mods put on jlt oil separator, jlt CAI and I switched to a magma flow cat back system, 3.73s are in and I have the bama tune here but I'm considering dyno tuning it instead

Okay I'm wanting to monitor my temps, fuel to air ratio and fr psi and stuff like that. What would be the best set up, just a tree or maybe a bully dog out look monitor? Opinions

I personally would go with either a triple gauge pod(A-pillar or Laguna Seca Pod), or a wireless OBD2 adapter that sends feedback to a smartphone/tablet.

I have a WiFi adapter that works with my Android and Apple products for my readouts, but am getting a Laguna Seca pod with Autometer gauges for a permanent setup.
