The cars have a lineup hole for the badge(with pin) in the fender.
It does stick on, but has the hole.

JUST stickon would allow people to debadge without having to fill a hole.
That's what he's talking about with just stick on and dumping the holes.

I'm looking forward to seeing the redesigned S197.

Even 5.0 in the updated GT script.

I kinda like the current GT logo though....

My idea:
Base = 3.5L V6
GT = TT 3.5L V6
5.0 = N/A 5L V8
GT-500 = TT 5L V8

The middle models, GT and 5.0, would be as close to identical as possible equipment and trim-wise, the engine being the essential difference. In this way you preserve the GT nameplate, preserve the V8 option under a "new" nameplate, and generally avoid as much childish whining as possible

THe Mustang GT is all about being a V8

If they have an EcoV6
I doubt it'll be called a GT
I'll probably carry another name.

Not all Mustangs that wore the GT badge were V8's.

Remember the 1983 and 1984 Turbo GT. 145hp Turbo 2.3L I4's.

Thats weird I remember my 87' GT was just a stick on with no lineup holes. I just used a good old tape measure to make sure it was in the correct place. I wonder if the 94-04 cars are just stick on or if they have the lineup hole too?

I would think that the GT motor will be the 5.0 minus the TT.

Yep. My 01 has 2(bigger and smaller one)per each fender emblem.
GT on deck lid is just stick-on.

It seems with every update they switch it up.
The F-150 did it.
I hope not too much...Has a Ford GT heritage feel.
Maybe we'll see the new direction when they
launch the Ford Falcon in Melbourne next month (FEB 29)?

94-98

99-04

05-09
Well I'm bored... So the new FPV GT has a new emblem.
Seeing that the Ford GT style is 5 years old maybe
they will switch it out. If Mulally wants everything
with a global feel and look, emblems will have
to be on that list to keep it all uniform

There will HAVE to be a 5.0 emblem. To not play on the heritage and reputation behind the 5.0 Mustangs would be stupid. Ford knows this. That would be like Dodge not using the HEMI emblem on new cars/trucks.

Maybe someone who has some photoshop skills can think up some new 5.0 emblems for us to dream over???
