New GT needs new rims, opinions on 18 vs 20s
So I am pretty sure I want to put black spoke/polished lip bullit reps on my new Race Red GT. I figure the black in the wheels will play well against the black trim and the tint etc.
I am just trying to decide on 18 inch or 20 inch wheels. I don't plan on a drop anytime soon due to poor road conditions, so keep that in mind.
I would appreciate seeing pics of folks with 18s vs 20s as well as discussions of changes in ride charateristics.
Thanks guys

Can't find bullitts in 19. I like the CruzinConcepts pkgs because they look good and the price for the wheels and tires is very hard to beat.
The 20s weigh under 28lbs. That is not too bad for non-forged 20s. Just not sure if I am ready to go with huge rims.

I personally think 20's just look too cartoonish, the tires look like rubber bands on the rims.
18's get my vote, not too tall a sidewall but enough that they don't look wrong.
And you will get better ride and handling out of the 18's.
As to lowered or not, that would be the same whether you get 18's or 20's as the overall diameter of the tires will be about the same.

I say go 19's.
I think 18's are a little small and 20's look, as mentioned, "cartoon-ish."
Also, if your area's road condition is so bad that you can't lower your car, I'm not sure you'd want 20's.

Yeah, but like the OP stated, they don't offer 19's in the wheel he wants to use.
