-New Base GT Wheel Option-

Ford is listing new -64D 18" Black Chrome Finish Aluminum Wheels- option on Job 2 cars at around $600. Anyone have pictures? They still don't come up on Ford's "build 'n price" site, but are listed on Edmunds.

They are the same wheels as the polished 18's that are available on the premium cars except they have the black chrome finish.

I don't know if that's true. The picture description (no actual picture yet) on the J2 order sheet is different. The "polished aluminum" wheel isn't a "wide spoke".
18" X 8" Wide Spoke
Aluminum Wheel with
Black Chrome Finish
(64D)

I believe it is the standard 18 inch GT wheel, only with a black chrome finish.

From what I read on here, they are the same as the base GT wheels, just black chrome. Although, I am thinking they MAY be the 2010 18" wheels that were optional on the V6 only, but were very rare and discontinued for 2011. Look up my screen name for a thread on them...

Well, Ford calls the stock GT wheels "18x8 wide spoke aluminum wheels" so one can only assume that "18x8 wide spoke aluminum wheels with black chrome finish" are the same wheels with the black chrome finish. However, assuming has got me into trouble before, so I guess we wait.

I was thinking the same thing...but $600+ for a different paint finish? That would be a pretty lousy deal.

64D is gone... it's not in the '12 order guide.
Did they only make them for 6 months? Did they even make any at all?

^ That's a nice wheel.
I guess the 64D 18" black chrome finish aluminum wheels are a mystery...
